Jinemed Hospital - Overview
Jinemed Medical Center opened as a private clinic in 1989. They are the first in-vitro fertilization center in Istanbul, and 50 other IVF clinics operate under the leadership of Jinemed today.The hospital provides for the needs of medical tourists, including travel and accommodation arrangements. Jinemed is the hospital of choice of many European patients, most especially from the UK and United States.

Centers of Excellence
Infertility is the main specialty of Jinemed Hospital. Procedures such as IUI, IVF/ICSI are performed everyday. Jinemed Hospital does over a thousand IVF cycles each year with great success rates. The clinic has also its own andrology lab for male infertility and perform procedures such as TESE (testicular biopsy). Jinemed can also perform ovarian cortex and egg freezing procedures which are the newest, experimental techniques in the world of infertility to stop the premature menopouse. Jinemed's success rates are above the world standards.
For women under age 38 and using healthy sperm, the success rates are at 60 percent. Over age 40, this number decreases.Since becoming the first Turkish clinic to utilize intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) beginning in 1995, Jinemed now uses the procedure for all IVF cycles as ICSI increases the chance of fertilization greatly and has a positive affect on the chances for pregnancy.

Tests and investigations
Preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD)
PGD (Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis) procedure is performed 3 days after the ICSI. When the embryos reach 8 cell-stage, one cell will be taken out from each embryo. These cells will be analyzed in the patalogy department for diseases which may result from family history, genetical conditions, etc, .Upon the PGD, the doctors will place 3 of the healthiest embryos back to the uterus, exactly 2cm below the uterine cavity to get the best pregnancy chance
Patient Coordinators
Communications between patients, their American and European board physicians, and the IVF Turkey staff are handled through email, phone, and when convenient, video-conferencing. The Patient Coordinators make sure that pertinent test results and other medical records are satisfactorily transferred between treatment team members. Likewise, they arrange doctor-patient phone consultations.
Patient Coordinators will also help patient with hotel accomodations, from boutique hotels such to high class luxury hotels, air transportation upon request, sight-seeing and translation services upon request and securing a visa for travel to Turkey.
