Lokman Hekim Esnaf Hospital located in Fethiye, Turkey at the Mediterranean Coast of South West Turkey began as a small Polyclinic that was founded as a partnership between the Chamber of Artists and Artisans, the Chamber of Drivers and Automobiles and Lokman Hekim Inc. We have continued providing services at our new premises since 2012.

Settled upon an area of 9000 m2, our complex provides with international patient services with highly trained and experienced staff combined with advanced medical technology.

Our ambition is to observe developments in standards and applications not only in Turkey, but globally; and contain them within our hospital to be offered to our patients. It is our responsibility to ensure providing with our services in prestige, continuity, transparency and confidence.

Polyclinics and Bed Capacity 

We offer a wide range of treatments of Surgery (General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Bariatric Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Laparoscopic Surgeries, Urology) to Cardiology and Rehabilitation, from Dermatology to Psychiatry.

Within the hospital, there are 50 Consultants offering treatments in 22 different medical specialties.

We have 6 beds in our general intensive care unit (ICU),4 beds in our coronary intensive care unit (CCU), 5 beds in our neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and 93 patient beds giving a total bed capacity of 108.

Besides our highly trained Consultants, we have roughly 420 front line nurses and medical staff. You will find patients from Turkey and abroad who come for diagnosis and treatment.

Medical Examination for is available until 23:00 at our hospital for Obstetrics and Gynecology, Internal Medicine and Paediatrics.

Cosmetic Surgery 

Our esteemed Plastic Surgeon is not only successful with cosmetic surgery procedures, but also, reconstructive surgery is a large part of his duties.

We provide with a variety of services from non invasive aesthetic procedures, such as Acne Scar Removal, Filllers, and Botox and many others, to complicated plastic reconstructive surgeries, tissue transplants and microsurgery.

Bariatric Surgery - Obesity Surgery, Stomach Botox

Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy (Gastric Sleeve Surgery) 

Sleeve Gastrectomy also known as ''Gastric Sleeve Surgery'' is one of the methods of obesity surgery which restricts food intake by removing 80 % of the stomach thus reducing its volume.

Sleeve Gastrectomy is a successful, effective and permanent weight loss solution for patients who cannot lose weight with other methods like diet and exercise. In addition, bariatric surgery methods are applied to relieve secondary disorders such as diabetes and high blood pressure.

All our patients must have a consultation with our Psychiatrist and Dietitian before their surgery. It is important to understand why the patient needs the surgery, what kind of surgery she/he will have, what kind of results the patient expects after the surgery and what kind of changes he/she will need to make in terms of nutrition, diet and lifestyle. It is essential to understand all possible risks and side effects and to ensure that the patient does not suffer from any serious psychiatric illnesses such as substance abuse, suicidal thoughts or emotional eating disorders.

Our patients complete all the preoperative assessments at our hospital within maximum two days. Heart diseases, hormonal disorders and pulmonary diseases are the most important causes and consequences to consider with this surgery. Patient results are discussed, and any implementations are evaluated by the Specialist Committee of Cardiologists, Chest Diseases and Internal Medicine Specialists.

Stomach Botox

The Botox application to the stomach is performed endoscopically within 15-20 minutes under general anesthesia. The patient is discharged the same day after the procedure.  

Who can get stomach botox ?

 

Stomach botox procedure is not a surgery  and can indeed be applied to anyone who wants to lose weight but however it is also important to select  the right patient as it should be noticed that gastric botox will not be very successfull  in patients with a body mass index over 35, for whom surgery would be much more convenient and successfull.  Therefore, patients overweighted but not obese enough to undergo surgery are the ideal patient group for stomac botox treatment. Patients suffering from gastric ulcers or gastritis can have stomach botox injection after an appropriate treatment of these diseases.

 

Can stomach botox injections help people lose weight?

 

Patients are expected to lose 10-15% of their total weight over a period of 3 to 6 months. Depending on the age, metabolism  and type of exercising the weight loss varies from person to person but it would be wrong to consider the stomoch botox as a miraculous treatment to definitely lose weight. Being efficient in dietary programmes gastric botox injection reduces appetite but can be ineffective with patients consuming considerable amount of food rich in carbohydrates.

4500 international patients are treated at our facilities every year.

The staff of International Patient Department helps both inpatients and outpatients in any way needed including translation for doctors and nurses, especially at twice-daily ward rounds, and liaising with foreign insurance companies wherever policies allow a direct claim from the hospital.

The staff of the department is readily available to assist foreign patients. English, Russian, German, French, Dutch and Romanian are spoken.

The International patient department provides services with a competent and experienced team available 24/7.

Our hospital is the only health facility authorized by Turkish Ministry of Health for medical tourism activities in Fethiye.
