Dr. Kakiashvili graduated from the State Medical University in Georgia, and completed his urology training at Rambam in 2006. He also completed a one-year research fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. Subsequently, he completed a clinical fellowship in urologic oncology and minimally invasive surgery at the University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada and he is certified by American, Canadian and Israeli Societies of Urologic Oncology. He also holds an international certificate in robotic surgery. |

Dr. Kakiashvili is one of a small group of urologic surgeons in Israel trained in both urologic oncology and robotic surgery. He is an expert in robotic nerve-sparing prostatectomy, preserving urinary continence and sexual function, and he performs organ saving robotic surgery for kidney tumors. He also performs complex reconstructive surgery for bladder cancer, nerve sparing retroperitoneal surgery for metastatic testicular cancer and surgery for adrenal tumors. |
