Prof. Emre Balık was born in 1973 in Gaziantep. After finishing high school in 1991 Gaziantep Anatolian High School, he graduated from Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1997. He did general surgery residency in Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, General Surgery Department. He finished his residency in 2002. He began to work in the same department in 2002 to 2010 as a research assistant. He did his minimal invasive surgery and colorectal fellowship in Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, USA in 2004-2005. He received Associate Professor degree of surgery in April 2010. He is also board certified by European society of colo-proctology in 2013.He worked in Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine General Surgery Department 2002- 2014. He received Professor degree of surgery in 2016. He is working in VKV American Hospital and Koç University School of Medicine General Surgery Department, since August 2014. |
