Samaritano Hospital has been operating since 1894, where it was established by a group of British, American, and German immigrants. From a small general hospital, it grew into a large self-supporting private hospital, which is accredited by the JCI.
The Samaritano Hospital has over 1100 physicians from virtually all medical specialties, and 200 patient beds.
Samaritano Hospital is a member of Health Consortium Brazil, a partnership of six private
hospitals formed to export medical and hospital services, education, research and healthcare management services to several parts of the world.
Medical specialties
The hospital specializes in high complexity surgery in cardiology, orthopedics, neurology, neonatology, oncology, pediatrics, and emergency procedures, as well as video-assisted surgeries, and is also recognized as a reference center for bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, epileptic surgery and cochlear implants.
