About Having lived medicine since childhood under the influence of his father, Dr D. Pedro Aranda, his vocation was from the beginning Cardiovascular Surgery, understanding the specialty as a way to surgically care for the heart, large vessels and peripheral circulation. since they are frequently affected by the same cardiovascular risk factors and coincide in the same patient.

After obtaining a training position at the Reina Sofía Hospital, he spent long periods of training, frequently sacrificing vacations, in the best hospitals in the world, among which are: Berlin Heart Center, in Berlin; Hammersmith Hospital, London; Leiden University Hospital, Leiden; Gregorio Marañon, Madrid and Stanford University Hospital, Stanford-Palo Alto. After obtaining the specialty, he was able to move to the Carlos Haya Hospital in Malaga and, synchronously and from his first day of operation, to Vithas Xanit Internacional in Benalmádena, where he collaborated in the founding of the Cardiovascular Surgery Service with whom he was his Head and mentor in Córdoba, Dr D. Manuel Concha Ruiz, pioneer of heart transplantation in Andalusia.

Master’s Degree in Hospital Management-IPEM at Alcala University (Madrid, 2010).

Leiden University Medical Centre, in the Paediatric Cardio Surgery Department under the supervision of professor Mark G Hazakamp (October 2006)
Stanford University Hospital and Clinics (Stanford, California). Falk Cardiovascular Centre (from September to October), under the supervision of Dr. Craig Miller.
