Education	Prof. Ben-Yosef is a graduate of Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Hadassah Medical Center. During his military service he served as a physician in several field units and at the headquarters of the Army Chief Medical Officer. Afterwards he completed a residency in clinical oncology and radiotherapy at Hadassah Medical Center, and post-doctoral work at the radiotherapy department at Stanford University, as well as studies in radiobiology and cancer research at the Gray Laboratory in London. He was board certified in radiation and medical oncology in 1990.
Professional Experience	Prof. Ben-Yosef is also a Clinical Associate Professor at the Technion’s Rappaport Faculty of Medicine. He is engaged in clinical and basic research, and his main clinical research focus is on cancers of the head and neck, thyroid cancer, prostate and breast tumors, hyperthermia and radiobiology. He serves as a reviewer for medical journals and research grants, and as a scientific advisor to start-up companies. Prof. Ben-Yosef is a member of the Israeli Association of Medical and Radiation Oncology, the American and the European radiotherapy societies, the American Medical Association and the European Hyperthermia group. He has published over 100 scientific articles in medical journals and holds several patents related to cancer diagnosis and treatment.
