Prof. Eduard Ruiz Castañé graduated in Medicine in 1979 from the University of Barcelona. In 1983 obtained the specialty of Urology and in 1988 the specialty of Andrology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Master in Health Centre Direction (2006, Autonomous University of Barcelona). He’s also working as a Professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
His main areas of work: male sexual dysfunction, infertility, Peyronie's disease, andrological surgery, genital reconstruction and vasectomy.
He has more than 50 articles published, over 500 papers at national and international conferences, and collaborations in several book chapters on Urology and Andrology. He has participated in clinical studies including clinical trials and postauthorization studies sponsored by national and international pharmaceutical companies. He has received several awards not only national but also international for his professional work and contribution to Andrology.
