Nova Medical Center Koramangala is part of the Nova Medical Centers group, a chain of medical centers in India. Nova Medical Center Koramangala was opened in 2009 as India’s first dedicated day surgery center.

More than 70 percent of the surgical procedures carried out at the center are outpatient procedures. Most surgical procedures are short (less than to two hours), and patients can usually leave the center on the same day. The center offers over 700 different procedures, with a specialty in general surgery, gynecology, plastic and cosmetic surgery, orthopedics, radiology, pediatrics, urology, and ophthalmology.

The team of surgeons includes Dr. Jaya Bhat, Dr. MG Bhat, Dr. Mahesh Reddy and Dr. Nanda Rajaneesh, and carries out over 150 surgeries a year.

Facilities

While most of the surgeries take place on an outpatient basis, private rooms are available for recovery and the center carries out a full post-op procedure supervised by doctors and nurses. The Nova Medical Center group boasts modern operating theatres, monitoring equipment and safety equipment.

The cafeteria serves a range of food including vegetarian, Halal choices and special orders. The center has its own pharmacy onsite as well.

Services

Staff can communicate with patients in English, Hindi and Kannada. There are interpreters available if needed. The staff at the Nova Medical Center can also assist with transportation arrangements, accommodation arrangements, visa processing and insurance coordination.
