National University Hospital - Overview
The National University Hospital (NUH) is a teaching hospital providing healthcare services to locals and international patients alike. NUH is a 928 bed medical facility with a over 3,000 professional medical specialists, paramedics and nurses on staff. The comprehensive range of services provided in NUH includes cardiology, obstetrics, gynecology, oncology, pediatrics, and others. NUH combines forces of the medical staff, doctors in training and innovations from latest research findings to deliver their services.
NUH is accredited by the JCI since 2004. The hospital has also received a triple ISO certification in 2002. It has been in service since 1985, and has 22 clinics, 3 dental departments, 6 paramedical departments, 1 nursing department, and 4 medical institutes.
Inpatient facilities include rooms ranging from 8 bed wards to deluxe suites. Wards count to 38 and intensive care units are 6. The hospital has 15 major operating theatres as well as 8 day surgery operating theatres, and a delivery suite with 8 delivery rooms and 1 4-bed first stage room. Outpatient facilities include 32 specialist clinics and 14 specialized service centers. There also is one adult and one children’s emergency facility.
