Hospital La Catolica

Hospital Hotel La Católica is located at the center of the country's capital city of San Jose, just 45 minutes from Juan Santamaria International Airport. It is a forefront of private medicine class A in Costa Rica, with surgical and medical ambulatory or hospitalization services, satisfying the needs of both local and international costumers while adhering to the most stringent safety and quality standards and at the same time establishing broad expansion objectives.

The Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission International, which is the international branch of The Joint Commission International (USA); its mission is to improve the quality of healthcare in the international community.

Hospital La Catolica has developed new infrastructure and refurbished its building to look like a first class hotel. In addition to this modernization, Hospital La Catolica is teh only medical institution in Central America, and probably in Latin America, to have the "Posada El Convenfo", an extraordinary, colonian styel inn, offering all mod cons.

Since the Hospital complies with standards and regulations for quality, and patient safety, the Ministry of Health, an entity of the Costa Rican Government, has submitted the Hospital for a second accreditation with the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation. The Hospital is currently being evaluated by this organization.
