CERAM - Overview
CERAM (Centro de Reprodución Asistida de Marbella SLP) was established in 1993 by it's medical director, Dr Hugo Rafael Benito Martinez, and initially did basic fertility investigations and treatments such as ovulation induction and artificial insemination. Dr Martinez was able to achieve pregnancy rates equal to the national average and so took the centre in 2000 into performing in vitro fertilisation (IVF) programs. This occurred after a 2 year programme of training for the team working in the Centre.
CERAM's philosophy is to offer a personalised service of care to ensure an accurate diagnosis is achieved in the shortest possible time. They will undertake whatever investigations are necessary, taking into account investigations already performed at other centres. the available treatment options are then discussed with the couple and a treatment plan is prepared accordingly.
Statistics
CERAM's pregnancy rate for IVF/ICSI in 2009 was 57.2%.
