- Dr. Chacko started his illustrious career as a Resident Intern at St. John’s Medical College Hospital, Bangalore.
- He gained experience, when he worked as a Medical Officer at Curie Center of Oncology.
- He joined as a Registrar in Internal Medicine at Madurai Medical College, where he obtained his basic Physician training. His role as a tutor took shape when he started teaching as a Junior Lecturer in Nephrology at St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore. Subsequently, he went on to become a Renal Registrar at Christian Medical College in Vellore, India.
- He had gained experience as a pre-trainee but obtained advanced training when he was appointed as a Consultant Nephrologist in the same College.
- Dr. Chacko went to Australia, when he was offered the post of Senior Renal Registrar at The Queen Elizabeth hospital (TQEH) in South Australia. He continued his services at TQEH as a Renal Consultant Nephrologist.
