- Started her career in 1992 at Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi as a Junior Resident.
- Worked at Jeevan Medical Center at New Delhi as a senior resident in Gynecology.
- Worked with ISRO, Sriharikota under Govt of India where she offered her services as a Medical Officer in Gynecology.
- The setting up of the Telemedicine link between SRMC, Chennai and Shar Hospital, Sriharikota goes to Dr. Suma.
- Having immense exposure, she came to India’s premier corporate hospital. She became instrumental in setting up of the Health Care Unit, at Apollo Hospitals Bangalore.
