Dr. Biswa Ranjan Panda has more than a decade of experience in Cardiac Surgery.
After completion of his Cardiothoracic Surgery training in the prestigious Christian Medical College, Vellore, he joined the Paediatric and Congenital Cardiac Surgery division at the Amrita Institute of Medical Science, Cochin. He continued to work as Associate Professor in Paediatric Cardiac Surgery before moving to Australia for further training. He pursued his fellowship in Paediatric Cardiac Surgery at the prestigious “The Children’s Hospital, Westmead”, Sydney. Then he moved on to Brisbane to be trained under the living legend in Paediatric Cardiac Surgery, Professor Tom Karl. Before returning to India he also had a period of training in Paediatric Cardiac Surgery at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne.
His special interests include Cosmetic Cardiac Surgery by small incision ministernotomy/ thoracotomy, Arterial Switch Operation, Paediatric valve repair and replacement, Pectus repair, Health economics. He has published many Original articles and review articles in the reputed Cardiothoracic Journals. |
