He has completed Surgical Fellowships from the Royal Colleges of Surgeons in Edinburgh (FRCS Ed), United Kingdom and from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Dublin in Ireland (FRCS Ire). Further he completed specialist Fellowship in Surgical Neurology from the Intercollegiate Board, Edinburgh (FRCS Surgical Neurology). Currently Dr Choudhari is an examiner for Intercollegiate MRCS Examinations conducted by Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Dr Choudhari has experience in Neurosurgical field for over twenty years. Following completion of training in the United Kingdom, he continued to work as a Consultant in Neurosurgery in the United Kingdom for ten years before returning to India. Apart from being recongnised as a master-technician in his field, he is a dedicated teacher, prolific writer and has published extensively in Neurosurgery. His publications include many academic papers, research and thesis work and audits. He continues to be a Reviewer for several medical journals and is on the editorial board for many peer reviewed journals including British Journal of Neurosurgery. He regularly continues to present his work nationally in the UK as well as internationally. He has special experience of managing mass casualties.
Dr Choudhari’s Neurosurgical expertise includes brain haemorrhage caused by rupture of cerebral aneurysms and arterio-venous malformations (AVMs). He also specialises in the surgical management of Brain and Spinal Tumours including meningiomas, gliomas, neurofibromas and intraventricular tumours. Over the years, Dr Choudhari has had extensive experience in managing cervical and lumbar disc disease, and Head Injuries. He has special interest in managing a painful condition affecting face called Trigeminal Neuralgia |
