Professional Experience

Worked as Neonatal Fellow in Apollo Hospital Delhi for one year, during this time looking at his keen interest and good skills in Neonatal care his senior consultants guided him to do further training in UK. Before departing to UK he worked as Neonatology consultant in Nest Children hospital, Hyderabad.
In UK he had worked in "Ninewells Hospital" which is one of the largest teaching hospital in the Europe, where he had successfully managed extremely premature infants as early as 23 weeks gestation (500gms) and full-term infants with a variety of medical and surgical illnesses.
He has gained expertise in High frequency ventilation, use of Nitric oxide in PPHN and Therapeutic hypothermia in babies with Asphyxia, bedside head ultrasound. He has been trained in transportation of Sick babies by Road/Air ambulance.
He was actively involved in research work since his graduation time. He has presented many posters in National conferences, attended national and International CME’s, Neonatal Network meeting. In UK he was rewarded as a Top recruiter in BIDS (Bronchiolitis in Infancy Discharge Study.), greatly contributed in multi centric trials like TOBY, I2S2 Study etc.
He has done NALS and PALS courses. His areas of interest are Neonatal intensive care and Neonatal neurology & developmental follow up. As far as Newborn care is concerned his words are “Let the Buds Blossom” |
