Professional Experience

He initially worked in B. J. Medical College as a lecturer and then later on in Nair hospital as an Assistant Professor. In Nair Hospital, he was looking after both Medicine and Hematology departments. He has keen academic interest. He has been an undergraduate teacher and examiner for MBBS and Dental students. He initiated and was heading ‘PG Academic discussion’ for post-graduates of Medicine in Nair. He successfully organized annual Hematology CMEs in Nair hospital for 5 years from 2008 till 2012. He regularly attends CMEs/training programmes to upgrade himself with the latest knowledge. He has number of publications, given talks and been a panelist on various topics of Medicine and Hematology.
Though he manages all medical problems like infections, diabetes, hypertension, ischemic heart diseases, respiratory/abdominal diseases, poisoning and critical patients, he has special interest in blood disorders like Anemia, Sickle cell disease, Thalassemia, Aplastic anaemia, Polycythaemia, Pancytopenia, Myelodysplasia, Platelet disorders, Thrombosis, Bleeding disorders and Blood malignancies. |
