Dr. Alexander Aslani is Chairman and Head of two different Plastic surgery units: the Department of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery in Hospital Quiron Malaga as well as the Plastic Surgery Department of Hospital Quiron Marbella.
At present, Dr. Alexander Aslani is the only non-hispanic expatriate surgeon in Spain who heads a formal surgery department in the whole country.
Dr. Aslani has 20 years experience as a surgeon and looks back at more than 12,000 operations.
He has undergone extensive training in Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive surgery and held various academic consultant positions in university hospitals in South Africa, Germany and Austria, including a fellowship in craniofacial surgery.
Dr. Aslani has been attending professor in the Austrian academy for microsurgery and lecturing professor at PMU Medical School,Salzburg Austria.
Apart from Aesthetic surgery as head of department of Plastic surgery of Hospital Quiron Malaga he has special interest in Reconstructive surgery, especially microsurgery of the breast and head and neck, as well combined body contouring surgery. As head of the Plastic Surgery department , Dr.Aslani trains surgeons in the higher qualification as Plastic surgeons. Apart from his academic appointments, Dr. Aslani has been in private practice since 2003. Before being appointed as chairman of the Department of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery in Hospital Quiron Malaga, Dr.Aslani has worked as consultant in a large cosmetic surgery practice in London for many years, performing around 500 cosmetic surgery procedures every year.
He is a registered expert witness of the Colegio de medicos Malaga.
Dr. Alexander Aslani works in the field of Plastic Surgery since 1995.
He is a delegate of EBOPRAS, the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons since 2003.
