About	Dr. Baliga's forte is diagnosis and management of pre-cancer and early gynecological cancers. She has vast experience in colposcopy, and gynecological and obstetric surgery. She has 34 publications, including three books on Colposcopy that are internationally acclaimed. She has been an examiner to various universities including AIIMS and NBE.
Education	- MBBS (AIIMS), MD (AIIMS), FICOG - She is an alumna of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. She passed her MBBS exam in December 1974 and MD (OB/GYN) in May 1979 from AIIMS.
Professional Experience	She has received the WHO Fellowship and is a Fellow of the Indian College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. After completing her registrarship at AIIMS, she joined Lady Hardinge Medical College, Delhi University, as faculty member. She was Founder & Chief of the Colposcopy Unit at Lady Hardinge Medical College for more than a decade, and was Professor for more than 11 years before she took VRS from CHS in January 2004. She has been a Senior Consultant at Sagar Hospitals, Bangalore from February 2004 till she joined MSCC and NHMH.
