About Prof Ros Eeles is Professor of Oncogenetics at The Institute of Cancer Research, University of London UK. She trained at The University of Cambridge, UK and St Thomas’ Hospital, London. She is accredited in Clinical Oncology and has extensive sub specialist experience in Cancer Genetics.

Her oncological practice is in radiotherapy and chemotherapy for Uro-Oncology. Her cancer genetics practice involves cancer risk assessment, screening advice and management of increased cancer risk. She is also an expert in how the new cancer genetics impacts on treatment decisions. She has edited a specialist textbook in Genetic Predisposition to Cancer which is in 2nd edition and is an author of over 238 original research papers. She has an international standing in Cancer Genetic Clinical Management and research, particularly management of individuals with mutations in the breast/ovarian/prostate cancer predisposition genes, BRCA1 and BRCA2 and genetic predisposition to prostate cancer. She has been on several genetics advisory committees and edited the special edition of Familial Cancer: ‘Cancer Genetics: New Ways of Working’ which reported on models of delivery of cancer genetics services.
Memberships She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Royal College of Radiologists (Clinical Oncology Faculty), London UK.

She is a member of the learned societies: ESTRO, ESMO, ASHG, AACR, BAUS, BBG, and CGG UK
