Having qualified from Liverpool University in 1970 Gill took posts in obstetrics and gynaecology before becoming a radiologist. In 1977 she was appointed to her first consultant post in Merseyside. Early experience in breast imaging in the 1980s lead to involvement in setting up the National Breast screening programme in Merseyside in the early 1990s.
In 2000 she moved to NW London hospitals and the North of London Breast screening Programme.
In addition to her longstanding expertise in breast disease diagnosis, she maintains skills in general and gynaecological ultrasound and general radiology. |
