Dr. Bose had his advanced surgical training in Sloan Kettering Memorial Cancer Hospital, New York, Royal Postgraduate Medical School, London, Kings College, and London. Has been interested in Cancer Breast, Hepato-biliary surgery, abdominal trauma and have received wide recognition and several awards for these. He is credited for starting and popularizing in north India, Breast Conservation surgery for cancer breast, neo-adjuvant chemotherapy followed by breast conservation surgery in locally advanced breast cancer.
He is currently President of Chandigarh Surgical Society, has been President of Association of Surgeons of India, and President Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology. |
Education

He completed his Masters in Surgery from PGI, Chandigarh in 1966 and subsequently obtained FRCS, FAMS, FACS, FICS, and FACG.
He superannuated as Senior Professor and Head of Surgery from PGI in July 2002, having joined it in 1964. Dr. Bose had his advanced surgical training in Sloan Kettering Memorial Cancer Hospital, New York, Royal Postgraduate Medical School, London, Kings College, and London.
