With a strong aptitude for academics (more than 50 publications) and various innovative surgical techniques published in reputed International journals like Annals of Thoracic Surgery, European Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Asian Cardiovascular Annals , Japanese Journal of CVTS, Journal of Heart Valve Disease and Indian Journal of Thoracic and CVS, he has read more than 75 papers and has been invited Faculty/Speaker in various International Conferences across the globe.
He was the visiting Surgeon at University of Maryland Medical Systems Baltimore USA in Robotics and Advanced Coronary Interventions. Instead of number of publications more than 50, its more than 80 now. |

After completing his MBBS from IGMC Shimla with meritorious academic record, Dr. Puri completed MS from PGIMER Chandigarh in General Surgery and MCh from PGIMER, Chandigarh in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery. He has worked as Assistant Professor CTVS at PGIMER Chandigarh (till Nov 2001). |

He is associated with International Clinical Research Projects as Principal Investigator / Co-coordinator and appointed honorary member of various International Organizations and Societies like Society of Heart Valve Disease and Research Advisory Board of American Biographical Center.
Member of Indian Association of CTS and Chandigarh Surgical Society. Given Travel Grant by Japanese Association of CTVS to present my work on Off pump Surgery in Acute Myocardial infartion and Ischemic Heart Failure at Okayama Japan and am now also on the panel of Reviewers for The Journal of Heart Valve Disease. |
