Retiring as a Squadron Leader, Dr. Sharma then went on to work in Command Hospital, Chandimandir as a Physician Nephrologist, and also as a Consultant Nephrologist at S.U.T. Hospital in Kerala.
She is also an authorized Designated Medical Practitioner (DMP) TO Canadian High Commission, New Delhi and to Australian high commission, for conducting Immigration Medical Examinations for Canadian Embassy as well as Australia.
She has also done a post graduate diploma in Medico-legal systems. She has been associated with Veterans Clinic in Mohali and Senior Citizens Home in Chandigarh for past many years. |

She did her MBBS and MD from JNMC, Aligarh (1991), after which she served in the Indian Air Force for over 5 years as a graded specialist in medicine. |
