Dr Sanjay Gupta has completed medical school (MBBS) and masters in general surgery (MS) from Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sevagram, Wardha in 1993. Neurosurgical training (MCh) was done from GR Medical College, Gwalior in 1997. After that, he worked in two premier neurosurgical teaching institutes in New Delhi (GB Pant Hospital) and Mumbai (KEM Hospital). He was appointed Associate Professor at Himalyan Institutes of Medical Sciences, Dehradoon IN 1999. He started practice as General Neurosurgeon at Sri Sai Hospital, Mooradabad, UP in year 2000. During this period, he developed interest in Pediatric neurosurgery and went to Sick Children Hospital in Toronto for one year fellowship in Pediatric Neurosurgery. After returning from Toronto in July 2009, he joined Fortis Group of Hospitals at Delhi NCR as Senior Consultant and Pediatric Neurosurgeon.
