Expert in Gynaecology and Obstetrics, specialist in in-vitro fertilisation.
Professor Kentenich is an expert in Gynaecology and Obstetrics and a specialist in in-vitro fertilization. He
was awarded his postdoctoral lecture qualification on a research paper in-vitro-fertilisation.
Since 1995 Prof. Dr. Kentenich is a Professor of the prestigious Humboldt-Universität Berlin. In the same
year he became head of the gynaecological department at the DRK Kliniken Berlin | Westend
Prof. Dr. Kentenich is a member of the scientific advisory board of the German Society for Psychosomatic
Gynaecology and Obstetrics, and served as their president from 1993 to 1999. From 1990 to 1996 he was
an active member of the Advisory Committee of European Society for Human Reproduction and
Embryology (ESHRE) and became later Coordinator of Special Interest Group “Psychology and
Counselling”.
Further to these memberships he got actively involved with the Executive Committee of the International
Society of Psychosomatic Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ISPOG), the ethics commission of the Berlin
Medical Association and the scientific advisory board of the German Medical Association. He is member of
the editorial boards of the following magazines: - Human Reproduction - Journal of Psychosomatic
Obstetrics and Gynaecology - Gynaecology Praxis - Gynaecologic Endocrinology - Journal of
Reproductive Medicine and Endocrinology – Sexuology.
Work Experience:
1975 - Licence to practice medizine
1983 - Promotion at Freien Universität Berlin: "natural delivery" in the hospital. Behaviour of
women during pregnancy, delivery and child bed.
1984 - Approval as specialist for gynaecology and obstetrics
1987-1995 - Leading senior physician at the women’s hospital UKVR, Berlin Charlottenburg
1989 - Postdoctoral lecture qualification: "In-vitro-fertilization within a consultation for childless
parents with considerat |
