Focus of clinical research are the development of allogeneic transplant procedures, especially unrelated donor transplantation and peripheral blood stem cell transplantation for older patients and patients with solid tumors and malignant lymphomas, and the improvement of allogeneic Immuntherapie.Schwerpunkte of clinical and laboratory-based research, the treatment malignant lymphomas, especially of the central nervous system, and the treatment of autoimmune diseases with high-dose therapy and autologous stem cell transplantation. |

After working at the Department of Medicine, University Hospital Goettingen, Germany and at the Department of Tumor Biology in the group of Professor George Klein at the Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden, he joined the Department of Medicine, Freiburg University Hospital in 1987. Since 1993 J. Finke is consultant at the Dept.. Hematology and Oncology, since 2002 as deputy head at the department. He is head of the section allogeneic stem cell transplant and since 2009 chairman of the German stem cell transplant working group (DAG-KBT). |
