Specialty in Maternal and Fetal Medicine He was selected by Dr.Irwin Mekatz, Chairman of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University for a fellowship (subspecialty) in Maternal and Fetal Medicine from 1983-1985. After a year of sub-specialty he was given the title by Dean Dominick Purpura. Academically He was promoted to Assistant Professor of the University by Dean Dominick Purpura in July 1986, and professionally to head High Risk Pregnancies (Chief of High Risk Clinic) in the North Central Bronx Hospital, Montefiori Medical Center.
Specialty in Reproductive Medicine He received 4 years of training at the Colombian Center of Fertility and Sterility (CECOLFES). Actually he is the Medical Director of the Punta Pacifica Reproduction Center.
Ultrasound Training He received training at Yale University with Dr. John Hobbins in NYC New York University and at the Albert Einstein College Of Medicine. Now he is capable performing 4D and 3D structural ultrasounds and his clinics have 2 high resolution 4D ultrasounds: Antares model from Siemens and Accuvix model from Medison.
Urogynecology Training In 1998 he was trained under the auspices of the Johnson & Johnson in TVT techniques in the Dominican Republic. In February 2000 presenting his first 78 cases on talk shows with this Technique in the Medical Center Paitilla, Panama. As a resident he performed Anterior Colporraphy, Kelly Kennedy, CistoUretropexia, Marshall-Marchetti-Krantz y Burch. At Gorgas Hospital he received training with Dr. Ramón García de Paredes in CistoUretropexia Pereyra-Raz with the use of a citoscope (1986-1990), after more than 150 cases in 1998 he was the first physician in performing the first TVT technique in Panamá, and have done 250 cases in which he uses a citoscope.
