Major Positions Held:
Doctor Pitty served as the Chief of Education of Internal Medicine at the Changuinola Hospital of the Integrated Health System of Bocas del Toro, Panama, in 1983. From 1987 through 1988, he was the Chief of Residents and Interns of the General Surgery Service at the Doctor Arnulfo Arias Madrid Metropolitan Hospital Complex of the Caja del Seguro Social. From 1989 through 1990, he was the Chief of Residents and Interns of the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Service of the Doctor Arnulfo Arias Madrid Metropolitan Hospital Complex of the Caja del Seguro Social. He also served as the
Chief of the Endovascular Section of the Cardiovascular Surgery service of the Doctor Arnulfo Arias Madrid Metropolitan Hospital Complex of the Caja del Seguro Social.

Doctor Pitty received his medical Diploma from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Panama in 1984. In 1988, he finished a residency in General Surgery at the Doctor Arnulfo Arias Madrid Metropolitan Hospital Complex of the Caja del
Seguro Social. In 1991, completed the sub specialty in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at the Doctor Arnulfo Arias Madrid Metropolitan Hospital Complex of the Caja del Seguro Social. Also, in 1991, finished a sub specialty in Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Centre Hospitalier de la Timone of the Hospital des Enfants of the Service de Chirurgie Cardiaque et Thoracique and a Course in Colecistectomy by Celioscopy Techniques, at the Clinique Residence du Parc, both in Marseille, France.
