Doctor Saavedra began his medical education at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Panama but finished it at the Medicine School of the Autonomous University of Central America, in San José, Costa Rica, in 1996. In 2003, attended the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Weston, Fort Lauderdale, Florida for a fellowship in Clinical and Research in Bariatric Surgery.
In 2004, also, completed a fellowship in Basic and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery at the Angeles del Pedregal Hospital. |
