Dr. Navarro graduated cum laude from Escuela Autónoma de Ciencias Médicas de Central América with a degree in medicine. He worked as a pediatric surgeon at the Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS) while he attended the University of Costa Rica earning a postgraduate specialty in pediatric surgery. During his time at the CCSS, he was involved in the first 25 liver transplant surgeries to occur at the Hospital Nacional de Niños, the same hospital where he completed his residency. Over his nearly 20 years in medicine, he has participated in almost 40 conferences, seminars, and symposiums. He has performed surgeries in more than 5 hospitals, and he co-founded the pediatrics department at CIMA San Jose where he is currently the Head of the Pediatric Department. |
