Dr. Huertas is a highly-experienced neurosurgeon who serves as the Head of Neurosurgery at CIMA San Jose. He graduated with a degree in medicine from the Universidad Autónoma de Central America before he completed a residency in neurosurgery through the University of Costa Rica. He has trained in the United States twice, completing a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery through U.T. Southwestern in Dallas, Texas and then studying spinal surgery at the Intermountain Spine Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Huertas co-founded and now directs the magnetic resonance imaging center as well as serving as the Head of Neurosurgery at CIMA San Jose. |
