She has training from the Medical Eye Bank of Bogotá in corneal pathology, contact lenses and drugs. A board certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Chin-Casal has attended numerous workshops of ALACCSA (Asociacion Latinoamericana de Cirugia de Cornea y Segmento Anterior) for corneal surgery. |

Education

Dr. Chin-Casal earned her medical degree at the University of Costa Rica and completed her rotating internship at the following hospitals: the Mexico Hospital, Hospital Nacional de Niños, and Hospital Calderon Guardia in San José. She went on to finish her ophthalmology residency at the Insitute Barraquer of America, in Bogotá, Colombia. |
