She has extensive surgical experience in opthamology including procedures to correct cataracts, astigmatisms, myopia, and presbyopia. She has done clinical research in ocular trauma with the National Ophthalmologic Foundation, the Barraquer Institute of America, the Hospital Universitario of San Ignacio, the Santa Fe Foundation of Bogotá, and San José de Bogotá Hospital. In addition she has extensive investigative work in surgical results in diabetic patients submitted for a vitrectomy. |
