Dr. González lived in San José, Costa Rica while pursuing a medical degree from the Escuela Autónoma de Ciencias Médicas de Centro America (EACMCA). After graduating cum laude from medical school, Dr. González spent 12 years sharpening his skills as a physician and surgeon. During that time he attended four specialization courses; he specialized in internal medicine at the University of Costa Rica, then he traveled to the University of Minnesota in the US to specialize in internal medicine, gastroenterology, and endoscopic therapy. As a result of his time in the US, Dr. González is a licensed as a practitioner by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice, and the American Board of Gastroenterology. He has worked as a professor in internal medicine at the EACMCA; he is currently the President if the Costa Rican Board of Gastroenterology as well as a medical ambassador for Jackson Memorial Hospital International; and he teaches internal medicine at the University of Minnesota and gastroenterology at the Hospital San Juan de Díos. |
