About

Dr. Montoya attended the Universidad Autónoma de Centroamérica, earning a degree in medicine. He then completed a rotary internship studying gynecology at the Hospital San Vicente de Paul, pediatrics at the Hospital Nacional de Niños, and surgery and internal medicine at the Hospital San Juan de Dios. After a few years working in emergency medicine around Costa Rica, Dr. Montoya pursued a specialization in plastic and reconstructive surgery through the University of Costa Rica. He has worked and trained at both the Hospital Calderón Guardia and the Hospital San Juan de Dios, taught both graduate and undergraduate courses at the Universidad Autónoma de Centroamérica and the University of Costa Rica. Dr. Montoya is currently the President of the Costa Rica Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and a plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Hospital CIMA San Jose. |
