Professional Experience
|
He underwent training at the Charing Cross Hospital in London and at the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital, London, qualifying with a Diploma in Otolaryngology of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Following that, he continued training as Registrar and did a short stint as Senior Registrar during which period he took up additional training in maxillo facial trauma surgery and endoscopic sinus surgery. He returned home to serve initially at the Kuala Lumpur General Hospital as clinical specialist and then at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah followed by some years at the Penang General Hospital, as an ENT surgeon and Head of the Department.
He had been a lecturer at the Penang Campus of the Medical Faculty of the University Science Malaysia and a tutor to the medical students at the Charing Cross Hospital Medical School, London. While at the Kuala Lumpur General Hospital, he had been actively involved in teaching and training Master’s Degree students of the UKM. He is currently an Examiner to the Penang Medical College. |
