Education

After primary and secondary studies in the Lycée Français de Barcelona, she graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 1992. In 1993 she won the Extraordinary Award of Licentiate in Medicine and Surgery. She got specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Valle Hebron Hospital in Barcelona in 1996. And in 2016 she obtained her title of Doctor in Medicine and Surgery with the qualification of Excellent Cum Laude, granted by the UAB for the defense of the doctoral thesis entitled: Impact of Obesity in the cycles of In Vitro Fertilization. |
Professional Experience

Her professional experience began in 1997 as a Consultant in the Department of Assisted Reproduction at the Valle Hebron Hospital in Barcelona. From 2000 to 2002, she did a Clinical Fellowship in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) with Professor Alan DeCherney. And then came back to Spain to became an specialist in assisted reproduction at the Eugin Clinic in Barcelona, being the chief of the donation program in foreign couples In March 2003, she began as an assistant doctor of the obstetrics and gynecology service of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau-Fundació Puigvert of Barcelona working in the Reproductive Medicine Program . Head of the Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis Program at the Hospital de Sant Pau- Fundació Puigvert since 2003. In 2017 she got promote to Director of the Reproductive Medicine Service of Fundació Puigvert. Since 2003 she is also an Associate Professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Faculty of Medicine, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Sant Pau teaching unit). Since 2017 giving classes through blended learning. |
