About	Dr. Antonio Mendez Gutierrez founded Instituto de la Vision Dr. Mendez in 1965. His internship as Ophthalmologist MD took place at the famed "Associacion para Evitar la Ceguera en Mexico" (Association for avoiding blindness in Mexico). After that he became resident in the Ophthalmology department at the General Hospital of the National Medical Center in Mexico City. Dr. Mendez Gutierrez is an Ophthalmology pioneer in the state of Baja California, since 1965 has consulted thousands of local and foreign patients in both his clinics (Tijuana and Mexicali).
