Born in Sivas in 1957, Dr. Bahçeci graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Ankara University in 1980. He specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the same department in 1985.
Dr. Bahçeci completed his compulsory service at the SSK Maternity Hospital in Ankara and went on to work as a faculty member at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Ankara University. He became an Associate Professor in 1991 and a Professor in 2000.
In 1990, he conducted a postgraduate study on IVF at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
Bahçeci founded the IVF Center at the German Hospital in 1996; NişantaşıBahçeci Center for Women’s Health in 1997; the Cyprus, Middle East and Balkans IVF Center in 2005; KoşuyoluUmut IVF Center in 2006, and Erbil Hawler IVF Center in 2007.
Dr.Bahçeci is married with two children. He has authored more than 100 publications and papers both in Turkey and abroad and is one of the pioneers of IVF in Turkey. He parted ways with the German Hospital in November 2009.
Bahçeci and his team are currently providing world-class services to patients at both the Bahçeci Center for Women’s Health and the Umut IVF Center, both of which he founded. |
