Dr. José Antonio Ortiz conducted his doctoral thesis in the Department of Molecular Biology of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Universidad de Barcelona. From 1997-2000 he carried out a postdoctoral stay at IGBMC in Strasbourg, France.
When he came back to Spain, he started working at the Neuroscience Institute in Alicante as a researcher in the Programme "Ramón y Cajal".
In 2006 he started working at the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics in Instituto Bernabeu. Since he conducted his doctoral thesis he has always developed his research in the Molecular Biology field.

2nd place, American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) prize winner for the best conference poster. October 2012.
Nowadays, his interest is focused in the development of non invasive techniques of prenatal diagnosis. |
