Professional Experience

Fellowship in cataract surgery with J. L. Pearce in United Kingdom. Involved in planning the ophthalmological needs of a Barcelona area of 500.000 inhabitants, she designed and implanted one of the first screening programs for diabetic retinopathy in the Barcelona area. She has been principal investigator in many glaucoma and cataract surgery research trials. Nowadays acts as a cataract and glaucoma Consultant Surgeon with a special interest in complex cataract surgery cases and anterior segment reconstruction. Also she is Head of the Ophthalmology department of Hospital de Granollers and OMIQ. |
