Makati Medical Center - Overview

The Makati Medical Centre has a 717 in-patient bed capacity. 570 of these are for acute care, 64 for nursery, and 50 for the emergency department. This privately owned and operated hospital was established in 1969. The present structure stands on a total land area of 50,000 square metres. 

 It has a total number of 814 physicians with different areas of medical specialty. 530 of them are active and constantly present to see patients while 284 are special visiting physicians. The first successful heart surgery in the Philippines was conducted in this medical centre. It has also opened the country’s first intensive care unit, first Cardiology training centre, and first Computer Imaging Institute.

Since 1969, Makati Medical Centre has served Filipinos from all over the country as well as foreign medical tourists. It offers a wide array of medical and aesthetic procedures to international patients. Medical procedures include cardiac care, cancer treatment, organic transplants and surgery, neurology, and many others.
