Damian Medical Centre - Overview

Damian Medical Centre (DMC) is the only private medical facility in Warsaw. The centre has been in operation since 1994 and has a bed capacity of 40. Medical services offered in the hospital span various departments, including general medicine, surgery, and obstetrics. DMC also has a one-day surgery department and outpatient services too. The hospital is equipped with 3 operating theatres.

Surgeries performed in DMC cover general surgery, plastic surgery, vascular surgery, pediatric surgery, surgical oncology, orthopaedics, gynecology, urology, neurosurgery and laryngology. The hospital also carries out snoring and sleep apnea syndrome treatments, aided with the CELON device. DMC is well equipped with laser technologies that render successful operations. DMC continues to integrate new techniques into their operations.

Outpatient clinics of DMC cover various specialties and are complemented with a comprehensive range of diagnostic facilities that include echocardiography, Stress Test, spirometry 40-row computed tomography, Holter examinations, colour Doppler, X-rays, mammography, ultrasound, CTG and many more others. Laboratory tests are done in the same facility. DMC employs over 600, including a team of doctors in all specialties serviced in the hospital, which have relevant long term experience in their own fields.

DMC is ISO 9001:2000 certified and accredited by the Polish Centre for Quality Monitoring in Health Care Systems. DMC has placed first in the WPROST magazine for the Best Private Hospital in the category of non-public hospitals in Poland for three consecutive years (2005-2007). DMC is a recipient of many other titles and awards on different occasions throughout their operations.
