Prof. Michael Wolf heads The Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the Sheba Medical Center, which is one of the largest departments in Israel for treatment of Ear, Nose and Throat diseases and is affiliated to the Sackler Faculty of Medicine at the Tel-Aviv University.
The staff, 15 Israeli Board Certified physicians and 6 residents, are focused on providing treatment and care for children and adults for the wide range of diseases. The includes an independent out-patient facility equipped with state-of-the-art microscopes and endoscopic devices. Pediatric Otolaryngology is an integral part of the service of the Otolaryngology Department that takes care of children of all ages in the Safra Hospital for Children.
The Pediatric Service includes the entire spectrum of otolaryngology problems including neonates and newborns. Our dedicated team treats common problems, such as tonsillitis or chronic ear infections, as well as more complex conditions, such as cochlear implant surgery for children with profound hearing loss, reconstruction in of airways stenosis for children with tracheostomy, and congenital facial and head and neck anomalies.
Sub-specialty clinics are based on working in conjunction with colleagues from the departments of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery, Head and Neck Oncology, Neurosurgery, Plastic and Reconstructive surgery, Endocrinology, the Division of Radiology including interventional Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, and others. |
